Ronda Rousey is arguably to biggest star in the UFC, but the date of her return is questionable. Since losing her title to Holly Holm in November of last year, the world wants to know when will she fight again?
Immediately following the fight Ronda was asking for a rematch as soon as possible. She did unfortunately suffer some injuries during the loss that required her to be sidelined for a few months. Media and Fans alike were assuming that she would be ready for a rematch with Holm in July at UFC 200. Then news broke that this would not be the case, and Holm would first be fighting Meisha Tate. Ronda released a statement that she would be looking to make her return in November 2016.
When New York State legalized MMA and the UFC announced that the first event in NY will be in November it was a no brainer that Rousey would find her way on the card. Recently UFC President Dana White was a guest on the Michael Kay show and spoke a bit about the possibility of Rousey in NY.
“She has as much time off as she wants or needs. Obviously, I would love her to come back sooner than later so we’ll see how that plays out but it wouldn’t be a bad thing to roll into New York with Ronda but I just don’t know if she’s going to be ready,” White said.
Although we don’t know when her return will be, we can assume that it will be against the current Women’s Bantamweight champion.
