The flyweight debut for two of the top female athletes in the UFC will have to wait. After announcing that the fight is off for the upcoming UFC 216 card that will be taking place on October 7th in Las Vegas, there may be a new date. There has been word from both fighters that the fight will be rescheduled for the end of the year, possible UFC 219 that takes place in December.
VanZant suffered a back injury that forced her to withdraw from the fight with Eye.
When it rains it pours. Herniated disc, double ear infection, sinus infection, pink eye and ringworm all right now! 😡 send me good vibes.

Instead of searching for a replacement opponent for Eye, the UFC has decided to book the fight for the end of this year or the beginning of next year. Eye tells fans that she is moving forward with the fight and plans to stay on track for the new date.
I will have fight news very soon. things happen really fast & some logistics are getting worked out. Help me be patient til its rescheduled

One possibility for this fight could be UFC 218 in Detroit. Eye is from Cleveland Ohio, and VanZant is currently training in Oregon after leaving California and Team Alpha Male.
